entrepreneurs and sports enthusiasts from
Minnesota came up with a great idea almost 7 years
ago. After hours upon hours of trial and error, the
Hit Zone air powered baseball batting Tee was born.
have received a patent on a baseball "air tee",
but they all did the same thing. They used a plastic
tube to deliver the air. This really didn't solve anything.
If a batter swings and hits the "Tee", it will still
knocked over, just like a typical baseball batting tee.
where the Hit Zone practice tee stands alone!
Todd Kendall, the creator of the HitZone practice tee,
happened to use a fabric sleeve to deliver the air when
he was trying to make an air Tee for his kids. Now if
the bat or tennis racket hit the "Tee" - no big deal
they swing right through it!
Jamie Ogden, one of the three partners, played pro
baseball for the Twins organization. He is also currently
a baseball hitting instructor. He knew immediately that
we had a winner. Whether it was kids hitting on it,
or pros like Michael Cuddyer swinging away, it was
unanimous - they loved it! The U.S. Patent office
thought it was a good idea too and they issued us
a patent for the unique baseball air tee.
